Some games allow you to choose a monitor when in fullscreen or borderless windowed if you search on the game options. The reason your display is shifted is most likely because Windows 10 installed a new display driver, or changed the display frequency settings to something other than what you had set in your previous operating system. Set the second monitor as the primary monitor in windows (You can drag the taskbar back to the other monitor if you like) Run the game you want in windowed mode and drag it to the screen where you want to play. If you are unable to execute the keyboard shortcut, you may change the screen where the game is executed with these options: For a black screen, use the following keyboard shortcut: Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B. If I want to return the game to the main screen, I would simply press the same shortcut but with the Left Arrow ( Windows + Shift + Left Arrow), and the game should return now to the primary screen: If you experience a black or blank screen on your Windows device, try the following: To wake the screen, use one of the following keyboard shortcuts: Windows logo key + P or Ctrl + Alt + Del. So, if I want to run the game on my second screen, on the right side, I would press the shortcut Windows + Shift + Right Arrow and the game should switch from the screen as expected: The Shortcut is very simple, all you need to do is press the shortcut Windows + Shift + Left or Right Arrow (depending on the screen where you want to move the current window):įor example, with the Among Us game, it starts by default on my main screen: Use the left, right, up or down keys on your keyboard to bring the window back. Press Alt + Space + M to change the mouse cursor to the move cursor. What most of the people don't know, is that this allows you to move games as well. Press Alt + Tab to select the missing window. In Windows 10, it's quite easy to move the current window from the screen by using a very simple keyboard shortcut. The solution however is pretty simple, there's a shortcut that you can use in Windows 10 to achieve this. For example, I like to play sometimes with friends online while I work at something that doesn't require my 100% of attention, so I simply set the game to run on my secondary display while I work in the primary screen: In the right-pane, scroll down and click on Display Adapter Properties. On the next screen, click on the Display tab in left-pane. Open Settings on your computer and click on the System icon.

While playing some indie games, I discovered that most of them don't offer a way to change the screen where they run. You can also fix Upside Down or Sideways screen by going to Windows 10 Settings.
